Inauguration of the second gas unit of the Dalahoo Combined Cycle Power Plant

The Dalahoo Combined Cycle Power Plant, with a nominal capacity of 910 MW, consists of two 310 MW Class F gas units, two boilers, one 290 MW steam unit, and an ACC cooling system. This plant is under construction with the aim of supplying part of the country’s electricity demand.
The first gas unit of the Dalahoo Combined Cycle Power Plant project in Kermanshah Province was successfully connected to the national grid on Sunday, June 16, 2019, after completing the required tests, marking the beginning of electricity generation at the plant.
The second gas unit was officially inaugurated on Thursday, September 5, 2019, by order of the President via video conference, with the presence of the Deputy Minister of Energy for Electricity and Energy Affairs, the Governor of Kermanshah, representatives of the Thermal Power Plants Holding Company, the CEO and Deputy for Generation of Moshanir Company, and other provincial officials at the site.
It has been scheduled that the steam unit of the plant will be connected to the national grid before the 2021 peak demand period.
