Ensuring continuous improvement in engineering service quality and reducing project life-cycle costs is not possible without effective use of information technology. In this regard, Moshanir, through its specialized technical staff, has provided significant services based on modern IT solutions. Key IT capabilities include:

  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s computer network and related hardware.
  • Establishing internal and external communications, traffic control, and network security.

  • Administration and supervision of various network services, including web-based services.
  • User management and support.
  • Design, coding, and implementation of major company software systems, including the integrated financial–administrative system.
  • Design and development of software systems for other companies.
  • Knowledge management in recording tacit knowledge and undocumented experiences.
  • Implementation of automated information workflows in the office automation system.

Document Management System

The outcome of ideas, research, and actions of any knowledge-based company is embodied in documents and records produced with significant time and cost. These documents contain valuable information and experiences that play a crucial role in achieving organizational goals and supporting senior management decision-making. As one of the largest companies active in energy, transmission and distribution, water, transportation, building engineering, architecture, and environment—with over half a century of experience—Moshanir is undoubtedly a major repository of infrastructure project documents. These resources, alongside its specialized human capital, are considered not only the company’s greatest asset but also a national and international asset.

Currently, Moshanir’s Document Center holds approximately 11 million pages of technical documents, including drawings, reports, contracts, and other records related to national, regional, and international projects. Therefore, classification of these documents based on the company’s project-oriented structure and the nature of the records is essential for retrieval and reuse. To this end, the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) has been designed and implemented internally, with at least 20 information fields defined for identifying each document. The system is being executed and completed in two sections: current documents and archived documents. This enables diverse searches and necessary classifications based on document history and different versions.
