Technical Specifications:
- The HIA report was prepared in accordance with Clause (b) of Article 32 of the Fifth Development Plan Law and the resolution of the Supreme Council of Health and Food Security dated June 15, 2013.
- National HIA standards for large development projects, including wastewater treatment plants, were officially communicated to all executive agencies.
- Objective: Assessment of health impacts of constructing wastewater treatment plants in Vavan–Eslamshahr, Parand, Baharestan, and Robat Karim.
- Scope: Evaluation of effects on personnel and residents, effluent reuse, and sludge disposal methods.
- Treatment process: A2O (Anaerobic–Anoxic–Oxic) biological nutrient removal with anaerobic sludge digestion.
Plant Specifications:
- Parand WWTP: 4 modules, 8 process lines. Module 1 (liquid section) in operation; Module 2 under construction; Modules 3 and 4 not yet started.
- Robat Karim WWTP: 2 modules, 4 process lines. Module 1 under construction; Module 2 not yet started.
- Eslamshahr WWTP: 3 modules, 6 process lines. Module 1 (half under construction, half in operation); Modules 2 and 3 not yet started.
- Baharestan WWTP: 3 modules, 6 process lines. None of the modules started.
Role of Moshanir
- Served as project consultant.
