Technical Specifications:
• Transfer of potable water at a rate of 5 m³/s from the Karun River in southwestern Iran to the northernmost point of Qatar.
• Works included determination of diversion route, water intake, water treatment, and transmission via an 800 km pipeline comprising both onshore and offshore sections across the Persian Gulf.
• Construction of pumping stations and water storage reservoirs.
