Technical Specifications

•    Double circuit 230 kV transmission line with single bundle conductors
•    First application in Iran of high capacity conductor type Drake/TW/AW
•    Telescopic towers with very tall structures: 35 m (lower phase) and up to 50 m (tower peak)

Moshanir responsibility:

Moshanir was responsible for:
•    Geological studies
•    Route selection and surveying
•    Line design
•    Tendering process for procurement and execution
•    Supervision of construction and implementation

Key Achievements

•    First production and installation in Iran of high capacity Drake/TW/AW conductors
•    Increased transmission capacity per circuit from 280 MW to 500 MW
•    Achieved approximately 35% cost savings compared to a double bundle conductor design
•    Due to severe environmental pollution in the region, composite insulators with creepage distance of 10,600 mm and length of 2,650 mm were manufactured and installed for the first time in Iran
