Technical Specifications

•    Closest distance between the island and mainland selected for overhead crossing: 3,300 m (between Pahl Port, west of Bandar Abbas, and Laft Port on Qeshm Island)
•    Two unique features:
o    Requirement for very long spans
o    Special arrangements for tower installation in the sea
•    Tallest tower: approx. 140 m height, weighing about 135 tons
•    Foundations:
o    Onshore towers: pad and chimney type
o    Offshore tower: hollow reinforced concrete caisson structure
•    Foundation dimensions: 30 × 30 × 70 m for pad platform, 14 m height for columns
