Technical Specifications:
• Total line length: 926 km
• Power supply for the electric trains provided through construction of required high-voltage substations
• Installation of three overhead substations at 25 kV for traction power supply
Moshanir responsibility:
Moshanir has acted as consultant for electrical systems, signaling, tracks, overhead and upstream substations, and has supervised the execution of project operations.
Special Achievements
• The project significantly reduces environmental impacts associated with fossil fuel consumption.
• Annual savings of more than 11 million liters of fossil fuels.
• Travel time for the 926 km Tehran–Mashhad route reduced to 6 hours.
