Moshanir Responsibility:

Moshanir was responsible for Phase II design, engineering services, and supervision of dam and power plant operations.

Key Achievements

•    Recognized as the tallest double-arch concrete dam in the world with a height of 315 m
•    Second largest artificial water reservoir in Iran after Karkheh Dam, with a storage volume of 4.8 billion m³ at normal water level
•    Minimal social impacts associated with reservoir inundation
•    Planned installed capacity of the power plant: 1,500 MW
•    Long-term benefits through agricultural development of lands surrounding the dam
