Technical Specifications

•    Preparation of the Wind Atlas and wind maps of Iran

Role of Moshanir Company

Moshanir was responsible for:
•    Collection and analysis of relevant data
•    Preparation of the preliminary (zero edition) wind map
•    Preparation of tender documents for the procurement of 50 wind measurement stations
•    Supervision of installation and commissioning of the stations
•    Analysis of data collected from the stations
•    Execution of the KLIMM atmospheric model, dividing the country into more than 500 zones
•    Calibration of the wind map
•    Preparation of the final edition of Iran’s Wind Atlas and wind maps at three heights: 40 m, 60 m, and 80 m above ground level
•    Identification of 10 suitable sites for wind farm construction
•    Development of Iran Wind Map software with update capability

Key Achievements

•    Comprehensive national wind atlas enabling strategic planning for renewable energy projects
•    Establishment of a scientific and technical foundation for wind farm development in Iran
•    Creation of a digital tool for continuous updates and long-term resource assessment
