SIAHBISHE PUMPED STORAGE DAM AND POWER PLANT

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Upper dam is a concrete-face rockfill dam which is 82.5 m tall, 215 m wide at its foundation. Its reservoir has an active storage capacity of 3.6 million cubic meters, the lower dam is also a concrete-face rockfill dam, 102 m tall, 382 m wide at its foundation, the reservoir has an active storage capacity of 3.8 million cubic meters, the powerhouse is an underground pumped storage type with four vertical Francis turbines.
LOCATION: Adjacent to Siahbishe village
STAGE: Completion of dam construction operations, and commissioning of powerhouse units
MOSHANIR’S ROLE: Engineering services for tendering, supreme supervision, management and control of design review, and site supervision
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS: The country’s first pumped storage dam, hydroelectric power generation capacity of 1040 MW at peak hours, consumption of electrical power with a capacity of 960 MW during low-load hours
